Amanda, Linda, et al–it has been quite a while since we’ve updated here at the Tiny Fun House. And there’s a lot we could have said. But I imagine our adoption of Belby* will get us back in the groove.
*Disclaimer: Belby is a beagle/feist mix. Not all of Belby’s side effects and habits are yet known. Only anthropomorphic toys are effective with Belby. In some rare circumstances, Belby can make muffled barking noises. Belby prefers wet dog food to dry. Pete prefers dry dog food to wet. Belby prefers Melissa to Pete.

So cute! I love those ears! I still want to
hear about the move. Was the fame getting to be too much for Melissa or was Pete tired of stepping aside on the red carpet? Was the bolt bus too stimulating? Could your relationship just not handle the small space like that fake reality tv commercial? Do tell!
I couldn’t find “feist” in either of our dog books so I resorted to Webster’s. The only definition given was “small dog” which suggests that Belby’s dad was a – you guessed it! – small dog. However, after seeing the recent picture of Belby lying quietly on your deck and appearing to guard something, perhaps a pharaoh’s tomb, I looked up Pharaoh Hound and discoverd a remarkable resemblance. There’s no doubt in my mind that Belby is descended from “the oldest domesticated dog in recorded history” What a find!!
I love the addition to the Thomson household. I just wish I was there to see Belby in action. Do you think beagle/feist mix would survive in Africa? Miss you.
