In my defense

I have to explain a crime of dispassion. You may recall last summer’s
move, during which I was cited for driving a double-axle truck off-route. Finally, I will have my day in court. And that day is Thursday.

As a policy, I contest traffic violations. Not that I have many. It’s just that I have the right to face my accusers. And I like to see how different states have their traffic courts set up. How often do we get the chance to interface directly with the little “s” state? April 15. The DMV. The Post Office. Traffic court. None are pleasant, but as taxpayers we’re financing these services. And as citizens, we have a right to some of them.

The immediate problem is that I’m not exactly sure what my case is. If ignorance is no defense, then I’m…toast. If I have time over the next few evenings, I’ll piece my defense together here.

(One reason I believe the penalty is unfair is simply because the NYS DMV wouldn’t tell me what the penalty would be before I pled. (In reflecting on this, I realize that this is a very modern and childish way for me to think about the judicial system. Just because the NYS DMV wouldn’t tell me what I wanted to know, what am I going to do? Shop around for other DMVs? No thanks. I’ve got enough DMVs already: NYS for licensing, Virginia for vehicle registration, and that’s currently a little bit of a problem too.))

It will be interesting as to what happens . I hope you can find out what the fine and court costs will be before. The rental agency may know , They are the owner of the vehicle and should be liable for allowing this vehicle on the streets . Advise them in a nice way that you are looking for help.By renting this vehicle you could have a argument. Gook Luck.

When I told you that I was tired of looking at the fuzzy mouse picture on your blog and that I wanted something new and different, I didn’t quite have this in mind! Get this over with and give us some good news!
