Gridiron Valentine

For Valentine’s Day we went to see “Runt of the Litter,” a one-man Off-Broadway show about football, family and other competitive environs. Not a romantic theatre choice, but definitely a good one. Provocative content and virtuosic performance aside, I was again amazed by how much straight-up stamina is required for a one- or two-person show. Wow.

After dinner we went to Eatery in Hell’s Kitchen for, well, eating. Everything we tried was delicious, but the corn, pear and cheddar empanadas as well as the caramel latte martini were my favorites. (I will go for caramel latte anything, though. Caramel latte sausage? Sounds delicious! Caramel latte-glazed okra? I love it already.)
