Rehearsal dinner photos

Here's a somewhat temporary gallery of rehearsal dinner photos taken by Dennis Ragan. (I might move the gallery down the road, but I'll update the link.)

My Life as a Wife

Did we register for a flak jacket? Because I have been catching some serious haaaaaaate for not post-nup'-posting to the NupLog. Hello!! I have been extremely busy since returning Stateside. Here are just a few of the things I've had to do:

-shop and go out to eat with my mom
-watch The World Series of Pop Culture
-go out to eat with Pete's parents
-check the news hourly for updates and potential Suri Cruise sightings
-go out to eat with friends
-read magazines
-go out to eat with the softball team

Whew! See, aren't you exhausted just reading that? There has been no time for posting. So give me a break if you don't mind.

Nuploggers revealed

Greetings. In case you care, contributors, you may find out something about yourself--as "bloggers"--over at Pew Research. That report is the short of it; there's a longer one too.

The Intersection

WETA's new local call-in show, "The Intersection," starts tomorrow at 11:00 A.M. Not local to D.C.? Check out their Website to listen live or secure their podcast.

For those who doubt the wedding ever took place, here's the video.

New video

The fFoB's rehearsal dinner video is up on the video page. The Granada video has been adopted and squished as well.

Sadly, these additions took a day's worth of effort. (If you have any interest in those efforts, check out the video category at NillaZilla.)

The future of the NupLog, part I

Greetings from the NupLog nerve center. So what happens to the NupLog now that the actual nuptials are over with? That's a good question we don't have to answer just yet. For the time being, the NupLog will continue as an outlet for honeymoon and wedding pictures and tales. I have a longer post I'm working on. Though most of our contributors long ago moved on with their lives (or so it seems), hopefully some folks are still peeking in now and again.

But eventually, the honeymoon pics and clips, and even the wild tales from the afterparty will dry up too. It seems that other media like to cover newlyweds for about the first year, through the ritual of moldy cake-eating. So I propose that the NupLog remain relatively unchanged in its function through our first anniversary: June 24, 2007. At that time, Melissa and I will reassess our weblog needs and priorities.

Of course, the original NupLog will always be mothballed somewhere, even if you haven't been saving it to your hard drives. It may be bit too contemporary relative to other artifacts--guest books and greeting card collections come to mind--but nonetheless is something we'll hang on to.

Revelation video

To whet what few appetites might be out there for honeymoon footage, here's some video from the revelation, not to be confused with that whole puppet thing.

We're back!

Pictures and video from Spain should be posted in the next few days, once we're no longer jetlagged and waterlogged. For now, though, Pete asked me to choose just one of my digital photos to post. So I chose one.

Greetings from The Ritz Madrid

Melissa and I are enjoying our last evening in Madrid, and our last in Spain. Though our time here has flown by, I think we've spent our time well and I've thoroughly enjoyed the trip. After we finish shoveling rotting books out of our flooded ("water-entry" only) basement, we'll post some video and pictures from our trip.

Adios.

Update (July 8, 2006): Photo added.
