April Showers

It is my understanding that some sort of "bridal shower" occurred this past weekend in the DC area. Not being familiar with the goings on of such an event, Mark and I solicited the guidance of a frequent "showerer" - who was plied with Italian store food in exchange for her revealing secrets of the sisterhood - to get us up to speed on what tawdy things go on at these affairs. Once our stomachs were properly steeled, we consulted an anonymous attendee to get the skinny on the deCastrique soiree. There was mention of gifting, eating, and merriment, but I understand that the time honored humiliation of the toilet paper wedding dress was avoided. I regret that for all time, there will exist no picture of Melissa and her mother similar to the one to the right. (oh, and the MOH should jot down that Scott's gift was a "post on the Nuplog of a vaguely amusing nature", as I understand that she may need to be reminded of that duty)
